I have a 2003 Glastron with a 5.0 GL. I get a false overheat alarm from the left side riser. I know it's false because it sounds IMMEDIATELY upon startup. If I pull the wire off the sensor it stops. I just replaced that sensor as the one that was on it before seemed to alarm at way too low a temp. Any ideas what would cause that? I would have said short except the alarm goes off when I pull of the wire. I suppose it could be that the new sensor is also faulty. I guess I could just check resistance through the sensor. A failed sensor would show continuous, right? Perhaps just thinking out loud here. Let me know if you think I either am or am not on the right track.
Thanks in advance.
