Faria Depth Gauge not working

I have a Faria digital depth meter which is not working.
I can cycle through the screens and when I get to the "depth" screen which should show the depth it shows flashing 00.0 and beeps non-stop.

I have not double checked the transducer but I have to imagine it's secured properly to the inside of the hull.

I feel like I have reset the meter several different ways, but I'm not 100% sure.

Could any of the other screens (depth alarm, etc) cause this error? Any other suggestions to fix this issue OR to point to a faulty depth meter?

Thanks!

A flashing depth screen is typically a bad transducer

Flashing 00.0 with continuous beeping is most likely a transducer/signal problem, not the depth alarm setting. The alarm can make the unit beep, but it should still display the actual depth.
Check the transducer mounting, connector, and wiring for a loose connection, corrosion, or damage. If it’s a shoot through-hull transducer, make sure it has good contact with the hull and hasn’t shifted.
Also check the gauge’s power and ground connections for a solid 12V supply. If everything checks out and the gauge still shows flashing 00.0 every time you select depth, the transducer is the first thing I’d suspect. If a known-good transducer produces the same result, then the Faria depth gauge is likely faulty
