Faria Depth Sounder

Faria depth sounder on new to me 2013 Stingray 215CR, worked for 2 days in water, now it blinks 00 or gives wrong readings. Found transducer in the bilge, I'm assuming its a "in hull"...On vacation, need a depth sounder... Checked connections and seem OK. Any suggestions besides going to marina and have them repair it...?? Or install a temporary transducer, assuming that what the problem is ??

gg, before buying anything, if you can set the transducer in the water while sitting in the boat and see if it starts reading again. If not, then you could have either the transducer as a problem or even the head unit. But it would be great to know which one before going any further. Could even fit out what type transducers work with your unit and see if you could borrow one to try. As long as the transducer is in the water in the proper dirction, it should read.
