Faria Fuel Gauge Question

I have a Faria fuel gauge that has a burn mark on the rear side and I'd like to test it to see if it is good or bad. The back side, of course, DOES NOT have the three easily accessible stud posts. Instead, it has four small pins within a molded shroud. And, no markings to indicate inputs or outputs. The numbers molded in are 730WHT and 898BLU.
Can anyone tell me what the pin locations are and how I may test the gauge on the bench?

With the help of the gauge pin numbers of the second "Connectorized Case - Wire diagram" gauge shown in the following manual should help get you closer to your goal for the Deutsch Connector / Packard Connector design fuel gauge.

If the boat is close to you then also jump back in there and line up the wire harness connector and take note the best you can of the wiring color locations as they would plug into the gauge.

Being a fuel gauge, the pink wire would be the sending unit wire which is the wire that you'd typically ground out on the stud type gauge to see if the gauge moves to max indicating the gauge may be working properly if everything else is too (positive / negative power)...

Or find the pink wire at the tank, disconnect it and ground it to move the gauge.
