Beep, beep, beep, that is what I hear after about 3-4 mins.of the motor running. Oil tank is 3/4 full. I have been running 50:1 in my main tank along with oil to the VRO until I verify function. 2 Questions:

1.) What are the possible causes here? Oil sending unit, VRO, and/or possible vacuum issues/air leak in VRO, correct?

2.)I was told by a service tech to disconnect the two wires that come from the sending unit and re-test. I disconnected what I thought were those wires and had no more tachometer. Did I disconnect the proper wires? If this silences the alarm does that mean I need an oil sending unit? PN is 763408 for 3 gallon tank.

He then told me if that didnt fix it, to disconnect the VRO wires and see if it goes away. He said if it is VRO having issues, plug oil port, keep wires disconnect and just run 50:1 until I work up the nerve to fork up the $500 for a new VRO.

Low oil is a single beep very 20-40 seconds. Beep, beep , beep is an oil delivery problem. LeAk in oil line, oil line plugged up, etc. I would pull oil line and pump oil prime bulb. See if hose is clear. Check filter in bottom of oil tank. Worst case, new pump

Alright, thanks guys. Dingbat, I have already disconnected the oil line and made sure there was no obstructions. Screen in bottom of oil tank is clean. Not sure if this is normal, but the black plastic float at the bottom doesn't seem to want to "float". Is the float inside of that black plastic part maybe?
