Favorite boat/lake songs

Now that lake season is coming up for us, we're trying to figure out what we want to load the iPod up with. So what are some of your favorite songs while on the water? I'll throw out Toes by the Zac Brown Band.

I am a hard core southern rock fan. I am also heavy into Waylon Jennings, Hank Jr. and Shooter Jennings. I am not very tolerant of most of "the new stuff", I can't stand hip hop and all the other modern stuff.

That being said, I heard one of the most righteous tunes, and couldn't get it out of my head. Then one day I found out who did the song, and I felt sick for days, over it.

I despise this guy and all of the music he had done before.
I think I might find this tune in next years playlist.

Yeah, I like the All Summer Long Song too by Kid Rock....wife not so much. Think maybe it was overplayed?

I'm kinda moving to the older stuff too...'80s rock...Southern Rock and country. I'm kinda getting over the hard rock that my wife doesn't like...and the stuff she listens to would get me beat up at the lake! So, we're finding a happy middle ground.

Yeah,
That's why I dig Shooter Jennings. He spans from rock to southern rock to country. In one set, he he's rockin and rollin, next he tugs on some old haunting tunes of his dad's.

I guess that's why they make different flavored ice cream!

I found an orchesteral fanfare version of Anchors Aweigh that I especially like and crank it up when we leave the slip and are no waking past the big boys. A lot of folks sitting around their boats raise their glasses and other well wishing signs as we pass.

I found an orchesteral fanfare version of Anchors Aweigh that I especially like and crank it up when we leave the slip and are no waking past the big boys. A lot of folks sitting around their boats raise their glasses and other well wishing signs as we pass.
