We currently go to Pomme De Terre lake, I like it because it's not a real big lake like Lake of the Ozarks is plus that lake is dangerous would never get on that lake! What i'm really looking for is a lake with great campgrounds, i'm not impressed with pomme de terre campgrounds the only one i really like is Pittsburg State Park, seems like it's the nicest of the campgrounds at that lake, have not been to many of the corp campgrounds nemo landing seems very compact most of the campsites are right on top of each other. anyway what are your favorite lake campgrounds in missouri? Always a plus when you can park the boat right up on shore by the campsite!

Without a doubt - Bull Shoals lake! It's quiet and deep in the ozarks.

I stay at the wing and fin resort near gainesville. For camping I don't know, but there's a large marina at Theodosia with camping, but there's not too many trees there.

Truman is a nice lake. We have stayed at bucksaw before in the floating motel, it wasn't the best but it was a bacholers weekend and served the perpose. Up on the hill it is a little nicer. Its more towards the north east end of truman. about an 1hour and 15min from north kansas city.

Woo Hoo!! Missourian's! Im from the lower section of the state, you know, where the bugs live? We frequent Stockton, and we camp at Cedar Creek campground on the lower east side, we can beach the boat and play on the shore just down from the campsite. Plus, ramp is right there. Stockton is large enough to find a spot to cozy your way back to a cove, or fish, and still be alone. ;) The only downfall we have, is it will turn choppy in a matter of minutes, guess thats why the sailboaters love it. Sailboat races are a sight to see early Saturday mornings as well! Hope to see you there sometime!

I live on Pomme over here by the Wheatland Corps Boat Ramp and Campground. I've visited in the campground and they seem to be very spacious with some close to the water.
