Hi,i Got 3.0 Lit 140hp Omc Last Year Tilt Was Not Coming Up Too Good ,and This Year Totaly Gone Just Making Click Noise These Are The Things I Did So Far.
1.took The Half Moone Gear Out To Make Sure Its Going Up And Down Freely By Hand(good)
2.took Out Tilt Motor Put Direct To The Battery(motor Dead)
3.got A New Motor Still Wont Go Up .
4.check The Wire Connectors Going To Tilt Motor For Power (good Power)
5.took All The Gears ,and Hammer Coupler,cleaned And Put It Back.
6.put Every Thing All Together Still Clicking And Now Only Going
Up Half Way Some Times,hoping Someone Can Help Thanks

Hi did you:
1-Greese the zerk fittings behind the rubber bumpers. Pry them off gently, and don't mix them up.

2-Clean all the connections on the tilt selnoids. Ground also.

3- Did you over tighten the screws on the cover? If you did will bind the clutch.

4-Did you pack it with greese? I know it calls for motor oil 30 weight. Pack it with greese.

5- This should be number 1- your battery fully charged? Fully charged.

hello,does anyone has a picture of open view for all the parts of gears for omc tilt including tilt motor hammer coupler put every thing together still not going up goes up slowly half way and stops press the up makes clicking noise
