Feeling Selfish Today

Lately the weather here has been picture perfect. Sunny, with slighty lower temps, almost no wind......just perfect for fishing; but I haven't been able to go. It seems like every chance I have to get out on the boat, we have, through our ministry, obligated ourselves to doing things for other people. Today we were supposed to go to see our good friends little daughter get baptised, but dad blamed I think I may have to take a day for myself and go fishing, but I feel bad about it :confused: <br /><br />I guess I'm gonna have to sort my feelings over a quiet afternoon of fishing :D

Hey SW God never intended us to work 7 days a week.....take some time for you, dont feel guilty about it cuz if you burn yourself out you will be of no use to anybody and your ministry will suffer. I wish this was advise I was giving just because I heard it somewhere but to be honest it is something I learned the hard way ( And I am still to master this yet.) Go catch some fish :)

Go and enjoy yourself and feel good about it. You'll be so much better for it. :)

Well, I guess I remain more a fisher of men than of fish. I fished for about 3 hours way up the river in the most beautifull surroundings. I saw osprey, migrating birds, some ducks, it was really nice. Didn't catch any fish, but I did catch some Z's :D What a great day. Now the batteries are charged up :D

Hey SW as for not catching any fish thats why they call it Fishing and not catching. :) <br />It seems you have the right idea though and enjoyed the trip regardless if the fish where hungry or not. Good for you. Wish I would have done the same today but alas it was raining :(

So the Minister was depressed about not being able to get out fishing. It had been weeks since he'd last been but things just kept coming up. He saw the weather report for Sunday was for a perfect day so he faked a gravely voice, call another Minister and bowed out of his Sunday duties.<br /><br />He out on his favorite backwoods lake and lands the biggest, most perfect looking Rainbow trout. 12 lbs at least.<br /><br />An Angel looks down on his catch and says to God, I thought you were going to punish him for lying and not being in Church Sunday, and here you give him the best fish of his life.<br /><br />God looks at the Angel and asks "and who is he going to tell...?"<br /><br />Hope you had a good day fishing.
