Re: feul consumption

What kind of fuel consumption have you experienced? Or is this a new boat to you?

Are you asking because something is going terribly wrong with the fuel consumption?

A good place to ask this engine/drive technical question is in the engine/drive forums. I would read them first because it seems that every 10th question is "why doesn't my drive easily change gears".

Be sure to post your engine and drive info so people can help.

Re: feul consumption

My boat cut out on me the weekend and i have traced it back to the fuel not sure what the problem is i was wondering if i could have run out i put ?50 in the tank before i went out and i done 17 miles when i broke down. Lucky it was my first time out this season and i was out with my friend who towed me back in.

Re: feul consumption

I used to have a 2150 Bayliner with a smaller engine (3.0 liter). We used 4 GPH (gallons per hour) (15.1 liters/hour). Our 5.7 liter engine in our 2850 uses 6-8 GPH (22-30 liters/hr.). 50 pounds will only buy you 50 liters of gas! Enough for 2 - 3 hours roughly depending on your speed, wind, current.
