Fiberglass boat decking ?

I have been thinking of buying a bigger boat and I keep seeing fiberglass boats with the interior shot, and I was thinking of trying to find an open bow and pulling the carpet out and putting new floor with some pedestal seats in it,


I was told that the decking is fiberglassed into these boat is this true and is this a practical idea or not ??

It all depends on the manufacturer. A few glass in the floor but many use pressure treated plywood that is screwed into the stringers. Remove the screws, plywood deck, and install new plywood. Check out the boat when you find one you're interested in and make sure it's constructed in a way so you can easily remove the decking.
