After planning on getting into an inflatable for the longest time I suddenly now possess a Sears Gamefisher. I have read up on the virtues and negatives of this boat but figure I would like to fix it up. fortunately there are no visible cracks or holes in the hull and actually looks pretty good.
The primary issue is with the benches which have been worn, cracked and apparently re glassed. I would like to repair them and the add a piece of wood to the top (as was there before I ripped them off). Any ideas on the best approach to get these things into a better state?

Sand, glass, filler?
Thanks in advance!
