I am starting a project and am going to be doing a lot of fiberglass sanding and grinding. I am having a hard time finding a respirator that says it is for use with fiberglass. I have found them for mold, drywall ,blah ,blah, etc. I just want to make sure i get the right one. So if anyone knows of a website or even some makes and model numbers of what you guys out there are using that would be great.

Look for a HEPA filter. Any mask with this type filter should be fine.

Good luck.

Use a ecoquest air purifier to "drop" the particles as you work. It will charge the air and drop the particles to the ground. I use a good 3m respirator with the little flap on it. This was when I used to do HVAC work with Duct Board.

I use a 3m respirator.
The same kind I use to paint cars.
Double filtered on each side.
One doesn't even smell the fiberglass when wearing that mask.

Re: Fiberglass Respirator Question ?

Thanks for the input. I bought a 3M with P100 filters. I hoping that will keep me safe. Thanks again.
