fiberglass spot repair

Hello, I need to patch a wear spot in an unfinished anchor compartment with a flat gel coat white finish. Fiberglass mesh is visible in the coating. What type of gel coat is recommended to patch this area, waxed or unwaxed and white or neutral?

any white gelcoat will work, I'd thicken it with some cabosli and use a bondo spreader to smooth things out.
