Re: Fiberglass Viscount

Well, the pictures certainly help, but as far as year model just can't say. The one thing I've notice from one picture in the transom, it could just be the angle of the picture, but the transom apears to be bowed way out, (and it shouldn't be).

You say it's a 16 footer, then the 40 HP Yammy is going to be on the small side, but it'll push it down the water for you.

There should be a hull ID number on the boat (usually on the transom, imbedded in it) that will help with the year model. The outboard looks to me to be a bit newer than the hull.

Re: Fiberglass Viscount

i did a search with the DMV and the hull id says it is a 1911 viscount but i cant believe that is right. outboard is newer then the boat the previous owner put that on there himself. the transom doesnt have any cracks in it or anything or any weak spots so i am not sure about bowed out.

has anyone seen on of these that say viscount on the side and not starcraft

1911? Gotta be a typo there...lol. Since Owns Corning didn't come out with fiberglass till the late 30's and was some time after that before the boating industry took off with it.

This is only a guess, but from the styling I'd say in the mid to late 60's

I have seen that brochure before but in that it say the viscount model is aluminum and the capri is fiberglass. i am going to have to take a tape measure to it to see how long it is

I highly doubt it's a Starcraft. Starcraft has never put their model names on the side.

Re: Fiberglass Viscount

So what are you wanting to know about it exactly? What is it worth? $300 - $500 if the trailer and outboard are okay. Nothing much at all if it's just the hull.
