doubt resin will melt it, but proper adhesion may be an issue....

Nope,
No Melt......
Sand it good,+ rough,
It Might even Stick.........
Some Plastics you need to Polarize, with a Propane Flame.......

Epoxy resin will work fine for ya. Polyester resin will dissolve the pvc.

c/6
Hooty

Heck no. Epoxy will adhere to anything . Even tha crack of dawn. Wash the PVC with Dawn dish soap and water, rinse good and get after it.

c/6
Hooty

I'm not Sure about PVC,
But, for cross-linked Poly, You Must Polorize.....
And, Yes, this is for Epoxy......
Polyester Won't Stick At All.................

Hi,

West system says their epoxy can be used on hard plastics, and they even mentioned PVC as an example,
But they say results may vary depending on just what type of plastic you are working with.
As stated you should ruff the heck out of it to make sure the epoxy has plenty to key into
I would try a small experiment with some scrap PVC to see how it works before you start the big project. I epoxied some short pieces of PVC pipe through my stringers for compartment drainage and I roughed em up real good with 50 grit paper. They ain't goin' nowhere.
H90
