Fiberglassing over Wood Floor?

Hey
So my boat has a wooden floor. Seems odd for a 97 but that's what i have to deal with.
I love the boat, it's a 1997 Chaparral 2330 Sport but I would really love a snap it carpet with a fiberglass floor underneath. Can you glass right over the wood? it is smooth and in good shape. Or does all the plywood on top need to come out?

The other thing I've been thinking about (don't laugh) is that dura-deck stuff. It is a really thick paint on decking that is totally waterproof and looks really good but maybe wouldn't work in a boat with vibration and stuff?
Any input would be appreciated.

Yep, that is my thread. if you wood underneath is good, you can just pull up the carpet, throw some glass down and then use gel coat or duraback. I have used both with great results.
