My 2000 Ficht 115hp motor just went through a rebuild with new injector, piston and rod and port head. After reassembly the motor starts but does not idle. I can rev it okay but will not idle at all. I have the diagnostics and ran injector and fuel pump and spark checks and all is fine. Questions. Should I purge the fuel system of air through the Schrader valve?
When I run the oil test I hear the oil injector pump clicking but no oil comes out of the little nozzles even if I squeeze hard on the oil pump bulb. Is the pump bad or is the diafraghm bad or perforated. I get no oil movement and fear no oil in my rebuild.
I will check fuel pressure shortly.
Are any of the check valves more susceptible to failure than others?
I have the manual and diagnostic guide and DOS program but am looking for pointers.
These boys are tricky and expensive to fix. A nozzle broke on my vapor separator worth $250 for a used one. The injector I bought used for $75 and processed it in the EMM as a service replacement injector. The fuel lift valve contraption with hoses attached cost me $250. Also the Port head and piston and rings at about $450.
Now that I'm in deep I just want to finish and get it running. I'm stuck on stupid pursuing it but it's tough to let go this far in. Like a bad marriage to a sexpot!
Any pointers out there to get my motor idling good.
