Ficht 90 quick question?

Hi All,<br /><br />Just launched my boat for this season and its on its wet berth........<br /><br />When i fully tilt up my engine yr2000 out of the water at its berth on returning the next day i notice i have a few drips of 2stroke oil staining in my transome well this is coming out of the bottom of the cowling at the front of the engine......not serious i know but just a cpl of drips.......is this normal please?<br /><br />Many thanks from the UK<br />Rob

Pop the hood and have a look. I wouldn't worry about a couple of drops, but there may be more under the hood. If you get puddles, you got a problem.

the vertical throttle shafts and bushing allow oil mist to collect and drip into the motor pan, which will slowly drip into the transom well when the motor is tilted. In 2002 and later motors, BRP redesigned the throttle bodies and the problem is minimized.
