Greetings...
I have a problem with a 2001 ficht in that the oil alarm light comes on and stays on when the key is turned on, i have done the diagnostics on the gauge and it has come back as the electric oil pump fault or open circuit no. 34 .

I have tested the electric oil pump and it reads about 0.9 ohms so this looks to be ok , checked voltage to the pump and it was 11.3 volts (is this low it says it should be lower than the battery volatge) and continuity of the wires seem ok , it does seem to be getting oil as there is blue smoke when it starts but the alarm stays on .

If you reset the codes they go but the 34 comes right back as soon as you turn the key..

Any help would be great .

not a lot of ficht owners here but there are some experts who might know,
they use a special oil don't they? is there an oil filter ?
you can always try bass boat central dot com, lots of ficht guys there.

No diagnostics through system check gauge.

It could be just a bad system check tach or gauge, depending on what you have. They had problems back in those yrs with them. See if you can find one to borrow and check it out.

Yep, it sounds like a gauge problem. Substituting with a known good gauge is the quickest and easiest test.

Unless there is a shorted sensor wire somewhere, there is a possibility of an internal glitch inside the EMM (engine computer) but that is very rare.
