I have a 1999 Evinrude Ficht 150. The vapor separator fuel pump keeps sliding up on the shaft exposing an o-ring and spraying gas. I pushed it back down in its slot and strapped it with a plastic tie wrap and it got me thru the next 3 days in Canada without leaking gas. Now I am trying to find out why it is sliding up so I can fix the problem. Any ideas?? Model E150FPLEEA

Re: Ficht Vapor Separator Fuel Pump problem

May not be much helpbut, My '99 115 FICHT has a retaining collar with one locking screw. Noticed that my screw became loose so I tightenered it down. It took me two weeks to notice it!?!

Re: Ficht Vapor Separator Fuel Pump problem

I just found a pic of this mtr. It looks like the fuel pump is held onto the vapor seperator by a clamp. Is this clamp missing or are the screws that hold it on are completly loose ??
