After two great seasons, I had 3 times last season<br />when engine wouldn't start-starter just spun engin<br />early morning- 3 hours later started aok, changed<br />both internal water/fuel seperator and outside water seperator. (engine has had retro kit done)<br />I do alot of slow trolling 600 rpm) any ideas?<br />Hate being stuck at the dock.(I did open fuel line<br />and no vapor lock)....Help??? any advice very much appreciated- nickelfree@aol.com<br />Thank you!!!

spark plugs are critical on early fichts don't expect to get over 60-75 hours out of them. When did you last change them ?

Does the motor start at all? We will need details, Fuel pressure, lap top with 1.42b software.

Most starting problems are voltage related. The computer on the motor needs above 9.6 volts to operate. If a cranking battery is weak or does not have enough capacity, it will crank over the motor but the computer may never boot up.<br /><br />The factory recommends a group 29 battery and the use of their clamps on the terminals, no wing nuts.
