I have a bunch of AutoCAD files (.dwg) that I need to convert to either bitmap (.bmp) or .gif files so I can subject them to Photoshop. I have VoloView Express (free) but I need the paid version to convert. Any suggestions on a freeware application to do this conversion?

Ndemge – thanks! I have about 50 files. The shareware link was for an application with a 3 file limit. :(

well ain't that anoying.

...do a search on download.com for dwg
that's all I did and found it.. there were more to choose from. didn't notice the 3 file limit.

...if there isn't a freeware without a limit, find the one you like the best, and buy it if it truely is a good piece of software.

You could try your luck with the GPLed experimental windows version of lx-viewer. It's pretty buggy though. And I belive you must run it on a NT/2000/XP box.

If you have access to a Linux box running X, you could run the latest version though.

Good luck!
