there is a fill cap on the bow of my 1967 Orlando Clipper, that I have no idea what it goes to. When open, the cap just goes through the bow deck, to the very front seat inside the cabin. I am clueless as to what it is there for, and wondering if anyone here has any clue as to what it is supposed to go to. there are no tanks inside the cab, so i am clueless as to its use. ill try to post pictures i have if i can figure it out.

You could have stored anchor line and had it fed through the deck to the cabin for storage.

yea, ..... That is a bit on the odd side. I think I'd have to go with Bob on this, an attempt at a hawse hole for an anchor rhode is the only thin I can come up with. though they do make real hardware for that which works much better.

Technically a hawse pipe would go into an anchor locker. an anchor locker which drains outboard. Here is it inside the cabin. I wouldn't want a hawse pipe going straight into the cabin, water would come in. Even ones a hinged cap are far from water tight. It looks like the PO used gas/water/waste deck fill so it could be sealed when it's closed.
