Filling outboard trim and tilt hydraulic oil

My 115 mariner trim and tilt would not work. The hydraulic pump sounded sounds fine but would not raise motor. I backed out the manual release too far and dumped the hydraulic oil. Now I am trying to fill it. Many problems filling it. What is the proper way?

I'll give you a bump here since I just yanked my 85hp merc from the transom of my boat and will have to reattach it after I do some work in it.<br /><br />I'll tell you what it says in my manual, but I'm looking for trade secrets and intangibles here.
