I am restoring a 72 allmand/supernova 19.I have probably 20 screw holes on the transom below waterlevel, tabs.Over 60 holes on deck where somebody put teak tread strips. The wood is in great shape, transom and deck, but has a few spidercracks.I am going to paint since it is trailertrash. What is the best prep and product for this ap.Imron is not cheap and would hate the fix to come back through.
Re: Filling screw holes in f-glass

I would back the holes with duct tape then use MarineTex. The horizontal hole would be easy to do but the vertical holes are more difficult. MarineTex is a bit sloppy and difficult to apply on the vertical surfaces and keep the surrounding surface free of residue.

All in all, it's the toughest thing you could use. I would experiment a bit and see if you could let it start to set off a bit before you apply it. It is two part, I think 5 to 1 and it is difficult to apportion in small amounts.
