I've done the Mcguiars 3 step process before, it helped, but the underlying oxidation needs to be removed.

Boat is all white, I was going to start with 1000 maybe and go to maybe 1500 then 2000 and use the rotary with Oxidation remover to clear it up? (I also have Perfect it II) Automotive bodyshop stuff but may be better for the first application? Tips?

I am going to re-do the decals at the same time, but a little cautious as I dont know how I'm going to get the rotary in some of the tight areas like around snaps or rail.

Re: Final Wetsanding advice?

You can try 1000 to start with, if it isn't aggressive enough you can drop down. Going finer than 1000 or so sometimes doesn't help much, so try buffing out the 1000 before going finer.

If you are talking about the cheap buffers for car wax, they won't do the job, you need an actual low, or variable speed buffer, you can get one at Harbor Freight at a good price.

The buffers I have are a milwaukee rotary that is variable speed and a Porter-Cable dual action. I normally use the PC for the finishing work and the Rotary for the dirty initial work.

Use 800 and then follow up with the 3M Imperial compound. Finish up with the Perfect It and then wax. Go to the 3M site and look at the Imperial and what it does. You'll be amazed.
