This is the boats new home for the winter. I'm not exactly sure the best way to cover it though. It's a wooden deck above it, so won't get any snow, but will have plenty of dripping water as it melts. Boat has the factory snap bow and cockpit covers as well as this gray storage cover. I was thinking of just using the gray cover and a tarp over that. Better to use the snap covers as well? Or leave them inside for the winter? Do I need to worry about moisture problems with the tarp? It is very dry climate wise in Reno.

It was winterized today, much easier than I thought it would be. I pulled the batteries as well. Should be ready for long rest. Do you guys leave your batteries on a trickle charge for the winter?

Looks like you may want to angle the bow up a bit for drainage. I get it's tahoe but I'd put an extra tarp over it for rain or possibly finish the underside of the deck with the specific product sold for that purpose.

Im going to jack up the front a bit as soon as I can find something tall enough to put under the tongue that wont fall over. Im planning on putting a tarp over the current set up, just wondering if that is enough

We have a house at Camp Richardson on Jameson Beach, just down the way from the keys
I know exactly where you are. I probably cross country skied right next to your house last winter. You there year round?

A tarp that is tented to let the water easily run off and your current cover should be just fine. I do the 2 cover system like that. The one in your picture will keep the inside clean and the tarp keeps the water out. Looks like you have a good setup there for outdoor storage.

Get a good boat cover and you never need a a tarp. Sunbrella boat cover that is tied down tightly will shed 99.9% of the water and let your boat breathe.

Unfortunately we only use the house during the summer, pipes freeze too easily. We are closing it up this month.

I am thinking about getting a custom Sunbrella made in the future that I can leave on when it is moored as well, might be getting a tower put on at some point so want to wait for that
