Finally!!!!!! Got A Job!!!!!!!!

After being unemployed for 11 months a company that does my type of work had the good sense to hire experience instead of cheap.

Start Monday at only 34 cents an hour less than when I got laid off.

The wife is very very happy.

I hope a few million others can get hooked up pretty soon.

i use to complain how much my Social Security, and VA disability checks were.

but now, i am sure glad to have them. i feel for anyone out or work.

Congrats! What line of work are you in?

I have been referred to as a "Light Machinist"and "Skilled Laborer".

25 years set up and operation of hydraulic rotary bending machines from the ancient hand clamp models up to the new CNC models.

Congradulations. I'm glad I retired a couple years ago when I could. From what I've seen I would have been laid off about a year later.

Thats awesome!!! Congrats! Kinda crazy of some employers NOT looking for the older, more skilled guys, or laying them off when they know the economy is in a temporary state of slump. Ok so when its all better, how they gonna get good help??? A kid fresh out of school??? Hell no (no offense to younger guys) . I look for qualities that match hard work, skill level/willingness to learn if lacking, attitude and personability. Beleive it or not i went through at least 20 guys before I hired my newest guy 1.5 yrs ago.

Thank You All for the support.In all that time I probably put 200 miles on the vacuum cleaner and definitely kept my kitchen skills sharp.

I still feel for the other 40 million unemployed in this country.

I also wonder how the people claiming they can/will create jobs plan to pull that miracle off.
