Here are some pics of my boat. I hope ya'll approve. Now that I know it's mechanically sound I can start to work on the structural and cosmetic aspect of this project. Best of all: my wife is behind me 100%! I've never seen one of these before but I like it!

Thats a sweet little boat! Looks like it's got some hustle to it. Bet you're counting the sunny days skipping by , while you work to get her done! Good luck! Peter

Cool style to the boat, I like the way the windows enclosure looks aerodynamic. Keep the pictures coming, I would like to follow the restoration process, maybe I can learn something.

Good luck

Good luck, you might want to check on the proper technique on blocking a boat. You should have wood blocks under the keel that is the main blocking point. Boat stands on the sides of the boat are not supposed to take all the weight. They are meant so stablize it.

Thanks for the advise. However I supported the weight in this way because the way it sits on the trailer the hull has layed open a bit. The center windshield is nowhere near fitting any more. After a few days in the sun like that everything fell together so I now have blocks under the keel for more support. I only hope after the floor is complete it stays that way. Any suggestiions on this would be appreciated.

Very nice unique boat and a great idea to get the boat back into shape.

We had a guy at our marina that blocked this boat just like yours and did not realize his hull was in very bad shape. Long story short the boat stand went right through the bottom side of the hull!! An issues he was not ready to deal with.

If your windshield is off that much you might have a stringer/bulkhead problem.

EXACTLY!! The floor has been in very bad shape for quite some time and with it sitting on the trailer and no floor structure holding it together it layed open causing the window not to fit. As I said before, I left it sitting like it was in the pics for a few hot days and it slowly came together. I have since supported it by the keel.

I CAN'T possibly be the first one to have a prob like this. I've seen several older 'glass hulls splayed open. Some beyond repair (or more work than I wanna do)

Thanks fellas! I can't wait to see her skipping across Lake Sante Fe at full throttle! My wife has NEVER driven a boat before so she's as excited as I am about getting it on the water. I got all of the deck and stringers out today and it's all cleaned up awaiting new material.

I'll keep ya posted.

Cool. I think I saw this in a Jetson's episode. Be sure to share more pics when you finish her.
