thanks, the 17ft dixie is at my buddies lot. i dont have enough driveway for two boats and two vehicles, i'll try to get some pics of it soon.

wikelam, it will do 35mph not gps, all i have is a speedo. a little slow to get up, but it makes me happy. <br />the motor has about 15hrs on a fresh rebuild.

Nice to see trailers with bearing buddies and bra's fitted.<br /><br />Is that the lights set down at the stern of the trailer? Is that standard in the states. I've not seen them set up like that before and was just wondering if they are at any risk of breaking?<br /><br />Good looking boat, one I'd be proud to own.<br />Ross

ross, the trailer has been around since 1985 and has the original lights<br />it is an escort trailer and they are very common with bayliner's

catfish, if you notice the url to your pictures, you will see a bunch of crap after jpg.<br /><br />Delete all them signs and numbers back to jpg? and then try it again.<br /><br />I just took your pictures and deleted that stuff and it worked for me.<br /><br />If you have anything after jpg?, it won't work.<br /><br />Just right click any of the pics and click properties and you will see what I am talking about.

just picked up this one last week, the guy said the motor was locked up. after i tore into it i found out the motor was under water up to the starter, thats why it wouldnt crank over. whan i took the starter apart water poured out of it, the crankcase had about a half gallon in it. <br />

<br />the motor, it has very little surface rust on the cyl walls.<br />

<br /><br />yea, i still have the bayliner and the dixie bass boat.

castaway, this guy that used to be the maint manager where i worked had it, the company went bankrupt and he asked me if i would be interested in doing some work on his house in trade. he told me what he knew about the boat(motor was locked up), i agreed to work 100hrs for the boat, i rode in it last summer and the boat ran great, cruised at 40mph. i didnt think the guys at the marina were telling him the truth about what happened to the boat, and it turns out i was right! his loss, my gain.
