FINALLY...nostalgia makes a grand return with my 2nd Nantucket Express!

long, long time boat owner, constant browser of this site and newbie to boot!
with over 20some years between ownership, my favorite small cruiser/cuddy has made its return! closed the deal on a 1983 Larson 19.5 Nantucket Express! bringing back to me my personal favorite of boats when I owned its identical twin, a 1981 Silverline Nantucket Express!

great trailer mishap to share on another day (thread) but got it home safe 2 nite and after pumping 80 quarters into the carwash she (currently called MyToy is looking very fine already.

full canvas, front hatch screen, window treatments, electronics, etc...knock on teak, all working fine. 2 morrow, I get to clean up her insides, stretch some canvas a bit and gass her up....wish me luck, I am psyched at the price, I painlessly moved my other boat Saturday and ready to hit the real boating world up for a revisit!

well got the Nantucket beauty in the water today (not w/out blood sweat & tears & a new addition to the "25 things thread...:facepalm
Here she is
somewhere in the cuddy is my daughter, 2 year old grandson and wife. I would have preferred a more subdued crew (of one perhaps) for the maiden voyage, but we did get back to the dock (got a tornado based storm coming our way from Spicer Mn area...)

2 of the three things i paid to have looked at our somewhat "up in the air" but it starts like a dream, is clean as a whistle inside and out ( i did manage to tear a side window for the convertible top today so i got that out of the way...
I am glad to be back amongst the day cruisers again ( think I am the only one out here...90% pontoons)

thanks...they have sweet lines for the era.
need the praise...just found out the dock its moored to (owned by my boss/part of a lake restaurant) is part of the sale of said restaurant AND the adjoining house we just moved into in JUNE ( I am the Restaurant's Chef) I may have just lost my dock, my home and my job on the day I put my new boat in said Lake:grumpy::grumpy::blue:uke:wtf

thanks...kind of a mind blow plus I am not supposed to know. hopefully the new owners do not want to move in to the onsite residence. we just got settled. might have to live in the cuddy

You should have been informed of 1st the possibility of the sale early on and of the sale when it was proposed with a closing date. You should be informed of your status by your old boss -- surprises indicate an inconsiderate coward even if things turn out positive for you, which I hope it does!
