This is a 1972 Chrysler Courier 231 (18ft) that when a brought it home everybody said I was nuts, told me to get my money back (paid $100 for hull).

I hung a 1973 85hp Johnson that been sitting for 17 years on it. I completely gutted it, and replaced every piece of wood on it, all that needs to be done is re doing the top side paint some day, right now I use, use it often to.

They called this hull design a Hydro deep V

Great Job! I sure you'll enjoy it. That $100 sure beats that monthly payment of a new boat, doesn't it? How long did it take to get to this point from when you started?

Re: Finally took some pics of boat

Thank everybody

I started this project in last August, by December the the interior was complete, it was slow, that Florida heat will beat you up, spent the next two months on wireing, stering, and minor details, I took my time on that, was in no rush, took it out end of Febuary first 2 times to work out the bugs, mostly getting it on the trailer right, been out 8 time since, not one problem. I have owned a few boats, and It just seemed that unless you spent alot of $$$, you got junk, abused, rigged up garbage, So I bought what peolpe said was a piece of junk, replaced everything, no more junk, and I know it was done right.

I told everyone they lack vision when I got the boat, and now everybody wants to go on it.

Total cost less than $1500, the I bought the seats at WestMarine, looked around but they were about the same price, Paid about 300 for both, well worth it.

boat back from dead dude, I just noticed you are in Tampa. Have you ever checked out Don's Marine Salvage for parts? I've been wanting to get over there but their hours and my job don't work out.

Don't listen to Joe! I'll double your money $200 bucks and not a penny less! :D

Two questions though
Did you take pictures while doing it?

And not that I have a reason for asking

What did you have to do on the motor that had been sitting for 17 years???

Great job BTW (but you already knew that) :)

Link
