Finding age and users manual for Mercury 7.5 HP

Hi knowledgable ones and others,

This is my very first post on this forum so please forgive me if this is a repeated question.

What I would like to know is How do I find out the age of my Mercury 7.5.HP outboard serial number 9169386 and where can I locate a owners / users manual?

Any info would be very much appreciated.

1978. I can't find a genuine manual for this model, may have to get a clymers or seloc.
