What is the best way to find out where water is coming in boat...put plug in it fill with some water get boat level and watch floor to see where wet spot appears is my guess? I will be out of town for two weeks so if you don't mind respond to a personal message or email me...thanks so much...May just be where we are getting in and out of the boat from swimming....it is a brand new boat so I am learning it....but I am having about 2 gallons I have to take out after a day on the water....between dripping and lifevest this could be the main cause...may be a spot in the boat that is just not sealed right or an livewell hose...etc...etc...

yes....there is lots of help here......

dont know how this one got missed.......but all of our answers MUST be in open forum.....never in pm....other wise future i boaters wont be able to learn....

if its a new boat.....2 gallons is waaaaaay too much.......most leaks are from under the rub rail......another thing to do (im guessing that this is an inboard/outboard).....have some one drive the boat and stick your head in the wotor well....look at the back wall where the druive goes thru the transom....look for water intrusion.......also look at all hoses.
it is really easy for the manufacturers to miss somthing.

if you cant find any thing....run it with out the kids.....if the water is still in the boat.....take it to the dealer.

cheers

what oops says,

and if you're going outta town and concerned you won't find your original mssg just click on your profile, scroll down and lookup all threads started by you.

CC to private mssg for you, keep responses on the board though.

If you...
Ski
Tube
Wakeboard
Swim
Have kids in and out of the water...

2 gallons is not something to worry about:)

This is what I think Oops mean with the"....run it with out the kids....."test:
Everytime I have kids on the boat, I accumulate that volume of water in the bilge after a day of skiing, banana and swimming...
Whenever I'm with adults only (even after swimming), water in the bilge is a LOT less!
