where can you go to buy stuff for older boats.
I have a 1975 Crestliner Muskie 550 and need a few things, like a new cover. I guess you could call it a bimini? but its a litle different than that. has flexible plastic windows that zip into it. (sorry no pics, they are on my other computer)

ANYWAYS. It would be near impossible to find one used somewhere, the odds are against me there. So any places to go would be helpful.

Sounds like you will need to get one made.

Same place you would buy new seat covers.

i was hoping to avoid that, just because it sounds pretty expensive.

it is expensive, and the only way to get it. "CUSTOM = EXPENSIVE"

I'm in the same boat. I have an older model with a non standard bimini top. Ordering something online can be expensive & there's no guarantee it'll be exact. You can, however, call around your local upholstery shops & see about having one made, or better yet find someone that does it on the side. Bring your old one to them so they can use it as a template. You're still going to pay, but you may find it less expensive.

Ask a local awning shop.

Like here in Lansing there's the Quality Awning Shop and they've done good work for us very reasonably. OH and on their business card it says they do "industrial sewing" work...Hardcore sewing
