Ok well after trying everything in the world with my old beast she runs fines one day then the next day who knows...
Well anyways i got a 1996 Evinrude 48spl e48esledc 150psi in both cyl's .
at this time i do not have controls but the motor is a 1 owner and super clean it was on a pontoon that was used 2 times a year max .
The old owner said it ran great but he switched it out for a 90hp.
I gave him 600 bucks and i got a title.
This will be replaceing my Heavy Heavy ... Heavy 1966 Evinrude Sport Four 60hp
I hear the output will be the same due to the old motors were rated at the flywheel and new ones at the prop?
I was thinking if this is true my boat should pick up speed due to a lighter motor and maybe a few more hp ? Ive also head the 48spl is that same as the 50hp but with out the oil injection that i dont want anyways ... Is this true ?
Is there anything i should look out for while im instaling this motor on my boat ? i was thinking of pulling the carbs apart but if it runs good i might leave it alone and throw some sea foam in it.
