Help, my fire problem to the plugs is fixed but my stumbling engine problem is back!! I had a history since I've had this boat to lose track of oil and fuel mixture. The engine will be running great and all at once will start stumbling and acts like it flooded out. It usually does this coming out of the hole. I had the boat in the shop where the mechanic told me he tried a new power pack (didn't fix it) a new stator (didn't fix it) and then a new fuel pump. I was told it was fixed with the fuel pump. Well I took it out and tried and it was still doing the same thing. It smokes real bad at idle and fast Idle. I was told that I could have a lot of oil and crap in the crankcase and that could be the problem. So I started leaning out the oil gas mixture and it seemed to be running better but yesterday it started the same old crap. Keep in mind I haven't run four gallons of fuel out of it since it was worked on. It would get a lot more use if it would run! Can you suggest any possibilities???
Sorry to be so long winded, I shortened as much as I could.

I would start and would have started with the carb/carbs being rebuilt. Good luck.

I had the carbs rebuilt a couple years ago. It was doing this before I had that done and it's still doing it after. It's a 1993 V4 120HP.
