Hello, I am new to this forum I purchased a 3.6 HP for my 12 year old son I have no idea what year it is made by ( Firestone ) model #10752857 code #133-7-1075 stock # 10-a-111 the person I purchased it off said there was no spark when I got home to really look at it I noticed the fuel tank has little pin holes all over from inside rusting outward like blister's. The question is can I put a coat of fiberglass over entire tank to seal it ? Can I purchase some sealer that would do the job or try to braize it with some brass? can I purchase a new tank some where? Thank you for your time Paul

That is a 56-59 built by Scott/McCulloch.You may be able to find a used tank on ebay or maybe at www.aomci.org I believe the tank was the same over many years. I'm sure they can tell you over there.Otherwise one of the tank sealers might work.

Use a tank sealer. There are several brands. Kreem is one. Motorcycle shops generally have the stuff. So does www.jcwhitney.com

I believe they were something like Johnson green with red trim.Over at
www.aomci.org they can probably help with color and maybe paint too.
