I've searched to the end of the internet in hopes of finding the production date/manufacturer of my Firestone 7.5 Special. I'm hoping someone here can help me out.<br /><br />Firestone<br />HP: 7.5<br />Stock: 10-A-131<br />Code: 423-0-72001<br />Serial: 1726<br />Made in Hartford Wisconsin.<br /><br />Thanks in advance!

That looks like a 62 model, made by West Bend. I can't find a real model listing, but one site indicates that the year can be obtained by reversing the last two numbers of the serial number.<br /><br />Your stock number doesn't correspond with any of the earlier Scott-made Firestone motors. Firestone contracted with West Bend at the end of the '50s to build their motors.<br /><br />West Bend had a factory in Hartford, WI, as well, which should be another indication. Later, West Bend outboard making was sold to Chrysler, I believe.
