Firestone Serial Number

Recently acquired what I believe is a 1946 3.6 HP Firestone outboard, made by Scott-Attwater. For the life of me I cannot find the serial number. It does not have the usual plate, nor there is any evidence of it ever having one. Also, no freeze plug either.

My research would indicate it's a model number 10-A-1.

I realize this is may be a hard question to answer. Nevertheless, any one have a clue?

I answered my own question. It was embossed on the side of the power head. It was so greasy and corroded that it didn't show up until after degreasing and sanding.

For future reference, it is an early model, as seen by the 4-bolt head. The later 6-bolt models had the name tag riveted to the transom bracket.
