First Bass Boat - 1986 Cee Bee - Avenger

I bought the boat without a motor. What would be the minimum I could get away with and still plane out with 4 in the boat? Ideas...?

Interesting. All the Cee Bee Avenger pictures I've see were not Bass Boats but Jet type speed boats. Pop up a picture or three of your new to you Bass Boat.

What is the length? I would think 70-75 for 16'. 90 for 18'. And 115 for 20' Now you would want more power if you are gonna do water sports or go fast.

I have a 16' Cee Bee Avenger from the 70's. Although it looks like a bass boat, it was configured to be a speedboat. Max HP was 85, but I strenghened the transom and have a 135HP Merc on her. She is not as safe as she would be with less power, so it is not a "drive" for everyone.
