The HIN is usually stamped into the upper right side of the transom on the outside. It is also hidden somewhere in the boat during construction.

Strippped the paint on the exterior this weekend, will repaint in the near future, just need to decide what colors and paint type. Any suggestions on the brand of paint. Will get the green colored special primer mentioned here in the forum.

Nice looking deck. What are you using to waterproof the wood?

That transom looks pretty solid, should handle whatever size outboard you decide to run on her.

I am using Spar Varnish for all the wood. Just picked up some closed cell foam to install in the bow area and under the deck. The Transom board is just a touch over 1 1/2" oak, fits snug to the knee braces. Going to try to get her out this Friday to do a shake down, also to make sure there are no leaks after stripping the exterior paint down to aluminum. Then it's prime and paint the exterior, finish up some mounting pf the homemade seat pedestals and the side storage runners. And then hopefully some good fall fishin!

Nice looking deck! Spar Varnish is fine, its a 1 part polyurethane. Use a 3/8 nap roller and generously apply 3 full coats to both sides and extra on the edges. You'll need about a gallon. Let it dry at least 24 hours between coats and no more than 2 weeks or you'll need to sand to regain adhesion.
