Yes I was on the intercoastal waterway but the speed was calculated traveling in both directions so that should'nt be a factor. A couple of times while I was playing with the trim I was closer to 50 mhp.. I'll check the prop pitch just out of curiosity and wait for a nice day. I really don't want to go any faster and probably will spend the majority of time at about 75% when I'm not trolling at idle but I just want to be sure I'm not damaging anything when I am at WOT.. By the way I was the only person in the boat.. (I'm 240 on a thin day)..

The engine is what determines the L or LX, if your present engine is an L then the LX no longer has anything to do with it. You will be using the 4200 to 4600 rpm range.

If those numbers are accurate, then you're running a 21" prop. The pitch is the last 2 digits stamped (or cast) into the prop hub. The number will be something like 48-xxxxxA45 21P.

Cheers,

Chris.........
