first morring hook up need some help

OK I rented a morring now I need to hook up to it, I haven;t really looked at others but what do I need or what do most people use, The women at the store said I need something special made up, Since I have 2 cleats on the bow I need a rope that they could splice together, to go from my 2 cleats to the bouy, Is she just trying to sell me something, It's a 20'bayliner That will be on it, could I just rope something to one side, or should I use chain from the winch hook up to the bouy. I don't want to leave it their then I come back and it floated away,

Is this a bow rider? If I could reach it I would go to the bow eye, and not use a bridle. I would go from the Mooring to the boat with either 1/2 inch line or chain and then to a proper stainless swivel hook. Either way I would connect with an anchor shackle between the rope or chain and the snap hook.
