I just purchased a fishing boat today with a Force 125 outboard and it needs a water pump, I was wondering is someone could help me understand what water pump kit i need? For some reason I cant find a part number. My ID tag says Model: 1254x9B and Serial:1228 but I cant seem to find a water pump kit. Is there going to be a problem getting parts for this Motor? I just hope someone can help thanks

Finding consumable parts like a water pump kit should not be hard.----Get to know your local boat shop !

The 125 uses a pot metal housing.
It can be in really bad shape and still work really well.
In most cases the impeller is all you need.
If the wear plateF523562
has a lot of grooves cut in it? then replace that along with the gasket
F523031
that goes
under it.

It's a 1989
There is a slotted screw on the side of the lower unit.
Do NOT remove EVER!!!
The screw holds the shift linkage in place.
The oil drain is a hex head set screw on the bottom front.
