Well i finally took the boat out today for the first time 19' center console with a 1977 200 Evinrude and i need opinions on how to fix...Dont say get another motor !!!

My motor needs to be lower on the transom the cavitation plate is about 5" above the bottom of the boat..does anybody make a jack plate or off set bracket that will allow me to lower the motor this much ?? i always thought all the 200 evinrudes were long shafts ??

I would like to keep the motor, it runs too good to get rid of and good V6 motors are to hard to come by around here.. here are some pics to help...i know someone else has had something fabricated (custom jack plate, outboard braket, etc.) to get over this obsticle before....I appreciate any help thanks Jason

Yes, the V6s are all long shaft (20") motors. You need a 25" (x-long) motor for that boat. You could try a manual jackplate with at least a 6" offset.
