First Snow - Yep SNOW

[Moody Blue]

Was working on the boat Sunday in a t-shirt.

Today the rain turned to snow around 10am and hasn't stopped since. Everything is covered in about 1" of heavy wet snow.

Fortunately it won't last long because the forecast for tomorrow is sunny and 50F.

Won't be long though before its here to stay. Guess its time to winterize. Rats !!!

Were a bit North and a fair bit East of you but we're fortunate that its only rain on us so far today.... but I did hear the S word for tomorrow/Thurs.

We've had about 3 inch's on the groung for over 1 week now....makes me look at my snowmachine a little closer.

my buddy came home from school the other day and hooked up the plow to get it moving again.. hes expecting (hoping) for a lot of snow this year

in the interior of bc canada.....just north of seattle/spokanne washington.

1/2 due north of the can/usa boarder....is a mountain pass called the coquhalla.......

it snowed so bad there they closed the road.....800 trucks at the bottom and 10 spinning out tring to get up the mountain.

I'm with you oops... I don't care for winter. Love it for time of year (hockey) but I play on rinks indoors year round so who needs the snow? (Don't ski or sled)

None here yet, but -5 tonite (mid 20s?) so its not too far off. Gotta run home tonite and try to get the compressor hooked up and blow out my sprinkler system before it costs me big $$$ to fix in the spring.

I hate winters

Its that white fluffy stuff composed of 100% H2O in a solid state

Freezes the skin on contact

When accumulated in large amounts contributes to sore muscles and bad backs

Creates traffic chaos

Snow?......Snow?....oh yeah, I remember. The winter of '76 and the winter of '89, those little fluffy white freezy things that lasted untill 8:00 am and were gone again....yeah, I remember...

Winter last about 2 weeks here but man can it rain. When i lived in the Chilcotin ( north west of oops) it lasted about 4 months and temps down to -45 for weeks. Now i bet Yukon Mike could tell stories of cold.
