I winterized my boat and I'm about to start it for the 1st time I fogged the engine and need to know when I try to start it my plan was to spray carb cleaner down the carb then wait 5 min the put the muffs on and spray a little staring fluid and go for it is this ok or since I sprayed it with the fogging agent should I replace the plugs first or will it start.
Has anyone out there just put muffs on the outdrive and started their engine and it ran fine?
One more thing I added gasoline stabilizer should the gas be drained or will the gas be ok to run the engine a bit till the next fill up

Turn it over a couple of time by hand and crank it up. It will smoke at first as the fogging oil gets burned off but it should be OK. I wouldn't use the starting fluid or carb cleaner, if it was starting and running when you stored it should start now.

If the gas tank wasn't filled up for storage you could have some water in the tank from condensation. You could dump a can of water absorb into the tank just in case.

I got one of those water separators with the water collection bowl and drain on the bottom of it. I start it let it run about 20 seconds and drain. One time I had to do that four times to get all the water out. My plugs last a lot longer now among the other benefits.
