I saw a few similar posts but didn't want to threadcrap, thus starting my own.
Boat is a 1999 Baja 272 with the 502 MAG MPI. It sits on the lift through the central Texas "winter." Last year I had someone do this and I watched him winterize, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything as this was only our second season with a boat and first time winterizing on my own:
1. Fuel is currently at about 1/4 remaining, planning to add PRI-G equivalent to 100 gallons (I think this is 10oz).
2. Purchased the STA-BIL fogging oil and last time the person did this, he turned on the boat and I believe he let the engine get to normal temperature, fogged the intake and revved the engine a couple times. He did this sequence a few times but I can't remember how much fogging oil was needed.
3. Are there 5 or 6 drain plugs in the engine? I can only locate 5.
Didn't run much on the lake this year, maybe a total of 30 hours. Planning to change the fluids at the start of the season as I'm not able to get the boat out of the lake due to the lack of rain. Batteries will be removed and trickled in the garage.
Does this list sound about right? Any thoughts/corrections are appreciated.
